Please join us for this month’s Evans Churchill Community Association community meeting on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Phoenix Union Bioscience High School, 512 E Pierce St, Phoenix. Here’s the agenda:

  • Bioscience H.S. student safety and accessibility

ADVOCACY

  • “Preserving Arts in the District” (Roosevelt Row CDC/Merchants Association)
    • Seek temporary activations of vacant buildings and spaces
    • Foster display of local art and hosting of local music at additional spaces
    • Offer discounts to attendees of local art events
    • Encourage local businesses to advertise in publications/collateral of area arts organizations (e.g., Phoenix Chorale, Phoenix Center for the Arts, The Nash)
    • Organize regular Artist Meet & Greets
    • Seek to match available buildings and spaces with art businesses and artists
    • Update and publicize directory of art businesses and artists
    • Encourage the purchase of local art
